- Be a visible and credible leader, modelling and reinforcing the Trust values and behaviours at all times, celebrating success and acting as a proud ambassador for Nursing, Midwifery and AHPs.
- Take a lead role in providing senior clinical leadership for the division’s Patient First Programme activities, ensuring the delivery of objectives at divisional and Trust level.
- Provide professional and strategic leadership to the nurses, midwives and AHPs within the division.
- Lead on developing the division’s objectives in relation to patient outcomes, including the development and maintenance of care standards for all patients.
- Provide management responsibility, leadership and expert advice to on a variety of clinical issues to ensure clinical, safeguarding and educational standards set by the Trust are implemented and monitored within the division.
- Working closely with key members of the divisional team as well as the corporate executive and nursing teams to actively contribute to the design and delivery of the Nursing, midwifery and AHP strategy for the Trust.
- Take a lead role in specific nursing corporate projects and the management of specific nursing functions across the Trust’s divisional structure.
- Lead on the divisional implementation of national and local quality drivers arising from national enquiries.
- Represent the Trust on professional Nursing, Midwifery and AHP issues at a regional and national level.
- Promote a culture that nurtures and promotes effective multi-professional working to deliver quality outcomes and meet agreed performance KPIs.
- Lead on quality and safety work programmes whilst ensuring that the fundamentals of safe care are delivered within the division
- Provide leadership and support to the operational management and medical clinical teams.
- Hold a clinical Nursing qualification.
